Mauricio Yrivarren A.K.A. Binary Drift just released the lyric video for the song “Drifting” from his album “Pocket Tunes” (available in all streaming platforms), which has had very nice posts from UK, US, Italian, Spanish and Argentine press.

Originally from Lima-Peru and currently based in Madrid, Mauricio is a singer songwriter seeking to explore different genres and styles.

While Pocket Tunes straddles genres such as indie and disco (to mention a few), Drifting is undoubtedly a pop/rock song. Its lyrics touch upon forgiveness, hope and second chances…all in under three minutes! Mauricio isn’t afraid to open up about his feelings. While the song is indeed personal, his vocal delivery has a ‘who cares’ vibe” reminiscent of Lenny Kravitz and Maroon 5.

The singles released from Pocket Tunes have been accompanied with a lyric video, and Drifting is not exception.

We look forward to hearing more from this artist!!

Sunlight better left unsaid / my words and pains me
To know that I’ll be losing / my greatest friend
Faces all around me fading

Please / baby please
There’s nothing set in stone / that’s why I sing this song
And you / yeah you
You’re one of a kind / our better days are yet to come

Drifting deep beneath the waves / and drowned my story
The better part of me / lies beneath the soul you’ve taken

Please / baby please
There’s nothing set in stone / that’s why I sing this song
And you / yeah you
You’re one of a kind / our better days are yet to come

Oh oh oh girl / ivy through my veins

Please / baby please
There’s nothing set in stone / that’s why I sing this song
And you / yeah you
You’re one of a kind / our better days are yet to come
